Malarki is a lovely marbled
SBT Bengal, who is the daughter of Gogees Maverick and Foothill Felines
Marissa. Malarki is incredibly smart…she opened her eyes
at 7 days old, and was already full of sparkly purr-sonality. She loved
to be held in the palm of my hand against my heart, and she watched
all the activity around her!! At two weeks old, she was already
clearly responding to me calling to her!! Her marbled pattern
is one of the loveliest we've seen as it is very flowing, and
even at birth contained signs of the rosetting to come. Her pelt is very
soft and thick and full of gold highlights. And…she smiles!!! No kidding!!

Malarki is definitely
a people-kitty, and is especially loyal to me, having formed a very strong bond with me. "Shy" is not in her vocabulary as she
races to greet me the minute she hears my footsteps at the door.
She also enjoys playing on her back and having her tummy scratched,
which is unusual for a Bengal!!! She has a lovely face with very small, rounded ears…we have absolutely loved watching her develop and grow, and all the changes in her physical and inner being!!! Marbles like Malarki can be extremely valuable to breeding programs, especially for improving the patterns of spotted off-spring.
At nine weeks old she
was exhibiting a funny behavior that her father, Maverick, also
did as a kitten…sort of like when people bite off their fingernails,
what Malarki did was to bite off her whiskers!! For several weeks, she was a "whisker-less" wonder!! Maverick outgrew the habit
(we understand one of his brothers did this same thing!) although
he did attend a few cat shows without whiskers! Like father, like daughter!
