When Larry and Wanda McDonald first contacted us about a top quality leopard spotted Bengal baby boy for their Bengal breeding program, we were so excited because we had just the kitten for them!! We had been hoping to find a small, select, loving, home-based Bengal breeding program where this special boy could shine, and that is exactly what the McDonalds were doing in Minnesota!! We sent this handsome kitten born to Foothill Felines Macqui and Gogees Michabo of Foothill Felines to Minnesota and have received several wonderful letters and notes back from the McDonalds about their new boy.
Wanda wrote soon after he arrived: " Hello Holly, We have officially named our new boy Logan. He has adjusted so well and loves his new family. He sleeps with me every night and cuddles under the covers. He likes to be close. He is so adorable and has such a cute face and personality. My husband just loves him too. He gets along great with our other cats. They were all sleeping on the bed together last night. We kept a little girl from the last litter of Teesha and Moses. Her and Logan are already best buds and Heather and Logan are two peas in a pod. Teesha our female that is 5 is not sure if she likes him or not. She will hiss at him once in awhile. Moses and Logan seem to like each other too. They kind of sniff each other and walk away. Logan had his 3rd set of shots last week. I have taken some nice pictures of him too. I will send some off soon. Hope all is going good with you Holly. Thanks for our little fellow. Take care of yourself."
And, several months later, Wanda wrote again: " Just wanted you to know that our boy is growing big and strong. I have a new digital camera and will try to send you some pictures soon. He is a fine fellow. He loves his home here and is loved and adored. He loves to cuddle under the covers with me. He is filling out nicely and we are so proud of him. His coat colors are beautiful and he is a real striking guy. He is already working on being a man with our Heather who is over a year now. She has the dark rich rufus colors in her coat and dark spots. We expect they will make some beautiful babies together. We are excited and looking forward to his first successful mating. I know that he will make some excellent kitties. How are you down there in California? We are still trying to have a spring, but think we will jump right into summer. We closed in our front porch and built a deck. The cats all love the new porch. I think it is their new favorite place. We all sit out there at night a lot. I got them a new cat tree and they love it. I saw you have a marble girl that Metallica produced. Is she available or is she already taken. We were thinking of getting a marble and I was thinking of getting one of Metallica's offspring. Let me know whats happening and if she is available. Otherwise, I would be interested in a female snow from the newest pairing. Thanks again for our Logan (aka Buster Brown). He has already brought us lots of joy." Below, photos by Wanda of handsome Logan at 7 months old on the left, with 8 month old Fiesta; Logan at 6 months old; lovely Heather at 14 months; 5 months old Chantilly (Teesha's daughter); and Teesha, left, with her other daughter, Heather, right)!!
