The North China Leopard, also known as the "Chinese Leopard", is so highly endangered that it is rarely if ever, seen in the wild anymore. This medium sized leopard, with rosetted spots that most resemble that of the jaguar, is considered at this writing the rarest subspecies of leopard, so very little is known about its habits in the wild. The North China Leopard is native to the area it was named for, and it also has the longest fur and the darkest coat color of all other leopard subspecies.
