Teacup was born on April 2, 2005 to our own Double Champion Foothill Felines Manzanita, and Simbaspride 'Major' Mews of Foothill Felines!! While she was always the smallest of the litter, she was the first to open her eyes, and the leader of the group. She remained quite tiny until she was about 8 weeks old, then she started to catch up to her siblings and as an adult is a perfect sized queen!!
Photo at the top of the page of Teacup (AKA "Teeny") was taken when she was 15 weeks old; all other photos are of her at 6 months old, by Jim Brown of Pheline Photography at her show debut in Sacramento. She placed 2nd best in breed in the extremely large and excellent Bengal kitten class in over half the rings, and best of all ... she had a FABULOUS time!! Teacup has a pelt unlike any other Bengal in our program - so plush and thick!! She did not go through the kitten "fuzzies", but rather, was a very slow developer the first 2 months of her life. She reached 1 pound in weight at 8 weeks; at 3 1/2 months of age, she weighed in at over 4 pounds, and has since gone on to be so muscular and well-proportioned that she is absolutely breathtaking. She also happens to be one of our best mothers, and has raised kittens for other queens in addition to her own.
