Madison was born on September 18, 2000, to our own Junglebook Megan of Foothill Felines and Foothill Felines Metallica. All the kittens from this pairing have been outstanding, and what really excited us about Madison was her unique coloring - considered a "tawny" with the light grey background, her spots are jet black, and extremely rosetted both in their arrowhead shape and in their multi shading!! She has a gorgeous, very wild looking face and head, and is extremely confident and assertive in her temperament.
Madison is considered an excellent example of "type" in a Bengal cat -- you can see that wild type in her egg-shaped head with the very strong chin which is a unique shape to the Asian Leopard Cat; in the placement and shape of her round eyes and ears, and in her big-boned strong, muscular yet long body, plus her natural "tawny" leopard cat coloring. Madison is not glittered; it seems that often the best type in Bengal cats come from the non-glittered genetics. Madison loves to toss around small furry toy mice and gallop all over the living room, and she also enjoys cuddle time, spending lots of time with both Wesley and me, napping on our laps or watching TV with us. She is absolutely adorable, and extremely affectionate!! She has been a wonderful mother and continues to be a playful kitten in her own right!! She has produced many outstanding kittens, and Madison is the mother of our gorgeous DCH Foothill Felines Manzanita, and grandmother of our Foothill Felines Teacup!! Photo at the top of the page was taken of Madison at 4 months old by Jim Brown, Pheline Photography. Other photos show lovely adult Madison at almost 2 years old.
