Sir Patrick McSpots was born on April 12, 2006, and came to us from Dale and Holly Hummel at SelectExotics in Illinois. He is our first male Savannah in our Savannah breeding program, and we had been waiting a long long time for him!! We were looking for a fifth generation Savannah male so he would be fertile, yet we also were insistent that he have some of the specific characteristics we were looking to develop in our breeding program ... such as large, well-set serval ears; very black spots; long body type; great head shape, and a super-affectionate temperament. Patrick is all that and more -- we are absolutely thrilled with him!! His mother is SelectExotics Bitsy Bloom (an F4 Savannah), and his father is SelectExotics Tarzan (an F5 Savannah). Picture above is of our adorable Savannah prince Patrick at 10 weeks old; below are professional pictures taken by Jim of Patrick at 4 months old. Savannahs are a new and rare breed now being developed by some amazing breeders all over the world, and we are so excited to have Sir Patrick McSpots as part of our Savannah program here at Foothill Felines.

Savannahs are a new and rare domestic cat breed now being developed by some amazing breeders all over the world, and we are so excited to have Patrick join us here at Foothill Felines. Ultimately, we hope to be able to breed Savannah kittens from "Savannah to Savannah" pairings. These will be the SBT Savannahs of the future. (All Savannah males from F-1 through F-3 and most often F-4 generation are assumed to be sterile and are to be sold only as pets.)
Our dear Patrick has a special "trick" that he enjoys performing for our cattery visitors: he will nurse on any human forearm, and he still loves to be held!!
